Beach Street Festival (BSF) / Μυτιλήνη, Λέσβος, 09/10/11/12 Ιουλίου

Beach Street Festival (BSF), το καλοκαιρινό φεστιβάλ-θεσμός, επιστρέφει για 3η συνεχόμενη χρονιά και διεξάγεται ξανά στην πρωτεύουσα της Λέσβου, την Μυτιλήνη, 09-12 Ιουλίου.

Εδώ και μήνες ετοιμαζόμαστε πυρετωδώς για να δημιουργήσουμε μια αξέχαστη καλοκαιρινή εμπειρία με ένα πολύ δυναμικό Lineup, συμμετοχές από το εξωτερικό, Live-bands, μείξη ήχων Ανατολής και Δύσης, δωρεάν camping, καινούριες δράσεις και graffiti τοιχογραφίες σε όλη την πόλη!

Το Concept και το line up της φετινής διοργάνωσης έχει τίτλο “From East to West” ο οποίος προκύπτει από την γεωγραφική τοποθεσία της Λέσβου. Επιδιώκουμε να συνδέσουμε την Urban κουλτούρα του Beach Street Festival με Ήχους της Ανατολής σε όλο το φάσμα τους από τα μικρασιάτικα, το ρεμπετικο, τους αμανέδες τον πειραματισμό, την Pop μέχρι και την Underground εκδοχή τους. 100 καλλιτέχνες από Ελλάδα, Τουρκία και Ευρώπη συναντιούνται στο σταυροδρόμι Ανατολής και Δύσης για να δώσουν στο φεστιβάλ μια ξεχωριστή ταυτότητα, παρουσιάζοντας το έργο τους στο κοινό.

H ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ

Τοποθεσία

Το Βeach Street Festival 2015 θα έχει 3 Μουσικά Stages τα οποία θα βρίσκονται όλα δίπλα στο Camping και την Πλατεία του φεστιβάλ. Οι βασικές τοποθεσίες είναι οι εξής:

Tο Live Stage στο Iστορικό Κάστρο της Μυτιλήνης
Το HipHop-Bass Stage δίπλα στην θάλασσα
Το Square Stage στην Πλατεία του φεστιβάλ

Line Up

Το Lineup του φεστιβάλ θα ανακοινωθεί στα μέσα Μαίου, ενώ το closing του Beach Street θα γίνει στην Πλατεία με ένα Mega Jam από το Lineup, με άφθονο ούζο και δωρεάν είσοδο για όλους.

Μουσικά σεμινάρια

Το Beach Street Festival, στα πλαίσια επέκτασης και εμπλουτισμού των δράσεων του εισάγει για πρώτη φορά στο πρόγραμμα μουσικά σεμινάρια σε συνεργασία με το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου και το Τμήμα Πολιτισμικής Τεχνολογίας και Επικοινωνίας Μυτιλήνης.

Τα σεμινάρια χωρίζονται στα εξής 2 μέρη:

1) Σεμινάριο Μουσικής δημιουργίας ,παραγωγής και προώθησης με θρυλικούς DJ-Παραγωγούς της εγχώριας σκηνής και καθηγητές του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου.

2) Σεμινάριο DJ - Scratch το οποίο θα επικεντρωθεί σε τεχνικά θέματα της τέχνης του Djing και Scratching από βραβευμένους DJ σε τοπικό κ παγκόσμιο επίπεδο.

Beach Street Events

Mετά τα 20 επιτυχημένα Pre και After parties της προηγούμενης διοργάνωσης, το Beach Street συνεχίζει με πάνω από 25 events σε Ευρώπη, Τουρκία και όλη την ελληνική περιφέρεια. Φέτος εκτός από DJ events θα γίνουν Live συναυλίες καθώς και Graffiti meetings σε διάφορες τοποθεσίες. Το BSF στα πλαίσια αυτών των δράσεων κάνει ανοιχτό κάλεσμα σε κάθε ενδιαφερόμενο που θέλει να διοργανώσει κάποια επιπλέον δράση σε συνεργασία με το BSF.

TO GRAFFITI

Το Graffiti φέτος είναι υπό την επιμέλεια του Alex Martinez, ενός από τους πιο σεβαστούς writer της Graffiti σκηνής με συμμετοχές και συνεργασίες σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο. Oι τοιχογραφίες θα γίνουν στην Πόλη της Μυτιλήνης σε συγκεκριμένες τοποθεσίες με θεματολογία από το concept “From East to West” , καθώς και με κλασσικά Graffiti styles (open theme) από τους συμμετέχοντες.

Το graffiti χωρίζεται σε 4 τομείς:

1) Murals (Τοιχογραφίες) σε κομβικά σημεία της πόλης

2) Writers Meeting Point στην πλατεία του Φεστιβάλ πάνω σε διάφορες επιφάνειες από Φορτηγά, Λεωφορεία μέχρι ξύλινα πάνελ, τα οποία θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για την διακόσμηση χώρων της επόμενης διοργάνωσης.

3) BSF Wall Of Fame σε έναν τεράστιο τοίχο 200 μέτρα μήκος και 5 μέτρα ύψος με θέα την Τουρκία και όλη την Ανατολή.

4) Graffiti Workshops σε ειδικά διαμορφωμένο χώρο

Η ΠΛΑΤΕΙΑ

Η BSF Πλατεία δίπλα στο Camping του Φεστιβάλ, από chill-out spot μετατρέπεται φέτος σε κεντρικό και δυναμικό σημείο του φεστιβαλ με 1 μουσικό stage, Cocktail bar, Mπυραρία-Cafe, HotDogs, Burgers, Σπιτικό-Παραδοσιακό Φαγητό, BSF Merchandise-Shop και άλλα περίπτερα όπως Tattoo-Piercing και πολλές ακόμη δράσεις.

ΕΙΣΙΤΗΡΙΑ ΦΕΣΤΙΒΑΛ

Η πώληση των 3ήμερων εισιτηρίων BSF θα πωλείται online μέσω της Viva.gr και σε επιλεγμένα καταστήματα που συνεργάζονται με την Viva.gr και το φεστιβάλ σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Η πώληση θα ξεκινήσει Αρχές Μαίου και χωρίζεται σε 3 κατηγορίες:

“From East to West” edition

The Beach Street Festival (BSF) returns for the 3rd straight year, an artists’ festival which has become now a tradition, in the heart of the Greek summer. The 3rd Beach Street Festival will take place in the capital of Lesbos, Mytilene, from the 09^th to the 12^th of July.

For some months now we have been preparing fiercely to create an unforgettable summer experience for all. Always including a dynamic Lineup, with live acts & DJs from all over Europe, a mix of sounds from the East and the West and with free campsite, new locations, new activities and graffiti acts all around town.

The Concept and line up of this year’s edition is named “From East to West” which comes from the geographical location of Lesbos. Our aim is to combine the Urban culture of the Beach Street Festival with Sounds of the Eastern spectrum, such as Asia Minor, rempetiko, amanedes, experimentation and Pop, even in their Underground versions. 100 artists from Greece, Turkey and Europe will meet at the crossroads of East and West to give the festival a unique identity and present their work to the public.

THE MUSIC

Location

The Beach Street Festival 2015 will be hosted on 3 Music Stages which will be located near the Camping site and the festival’s Square. The main locations will be the following:

The Live Stage at the Historical Castle of Mytilene
The Hip Hop-Bass Stage by the sea
The Square Stage at the festival’s square

Line Up

The festival’s Lineup will be announced mid May, including the grand closing at the Square with a Mega Jam from the entire Lineup, with plenty of ouzo and free entry for all.

Music Seminars

The Beach Street Festival, for the first time as an expansion of its activities, will introduce music seminars in cooperation with the University of the Aegean and the Department of Cultural Technology and Communications of Mytilene. The seminars will be divided into 2 parts:

Creative Music seminars on production and promotion with legendary DJs, Producers and Professors from the University of the Aegean.
DJing – Scratch seminars that will concentrate on the technical aspects of the art of DJing and Scratching, hosted by globally awarded DJs & Turntablists.

Beach Street Events

After 20 successful Pre & After parties during last year,, the Beach Street continues with over 25 events in Europe, Turkey and all over Greece. This year on top of DJ events, Live concerts will be held as well as Graffiti meetings in numerous locations. As part of these activities, the BSF invites anyone who is interested in organizing an event in cooperation with the BSF, to contact us.

THE GRAFFITI

This year the Graffiti will be under the supervision of Alex Martinez, one of the most respected and globaly recognized graffiti writers, with works and collaborations at a worldwide level. The wall paintings will take place in the town of Mytilene in specific locations with themes based on the concept “From East to West” and classic Graffiti styles (open theme) from our participants.

The graffiti action will be divided into 4 categories:

Murals (wall paintings) in key locations downtown
Writers Meeting Point at the festival’s square on various surfaces, such as Trucks, Buses and wooden panels, which will be reserved for decorating the next year’s festival.
BSF Wall Of Fame on a huge wall 200m long and 5m high with a view of Turkey and Middle East.
Graffiti Workshops in a specially designated area.

THE SQUARE

The BSF Square next to the Festival’s Camping site, previously a chill-out spot, will now be transformed into a central and vibrant point of the festival with 1 musical stage, Cocktail bar, Beerhouse-Cafe, Hot Dog & Burgers stand, Home-made/Traditional Food, BSF Merchandise-Shop and other stands such as Tattoo-Piercing and many more activities.
